Statement
Visual artist based in Madrid. My practice is built from the poetic quality of the image, understood as a means of accessing new realities.
Through painting, I investigate the relationship between landscape, memory, and contemporary perception.
Formally, I explore line, repetition, and the fragmentation of the landscape in motion.
The canvas is conceived as a body in which layers, frames, and reverse sides generate new landscapes.

The works are part of a pictorial series that stems from the personal experience of the highway as a symbolic structure.
My town, crossed by this traffic infrastructure, is shaped by the road and raises an initial question: does the highway affect us?
The research engages with the literary influence of “A la pintura” by Rafael Alberti, who understood painting as a symbolic space.
From this poetic perspective, the work addresses the highway as a device that organizes the territory, experience, and contemporary perception, generating a linear and repetitive organization of the landscape, similar to visual scrolling.
Formally, the line functions as a guiding thread, articulating metaphors of journeys and transits that configure fragmented landscapes associated with vehicle movement.
Each work is born from the intersection between reading Alberti and a bus journey, establishing a tension between stillness and speed that produces a fractured and scarred landscape, where vegetation emerges that connects nature and hyperconnectivity.
The canvas is treated like a body, prioritizing the attached object, the layers, and the frames that build its identity.
The reverse side gains prominence as an underlying structure: the skeleton that generates frames and windows from which to perceive the organic shapes.
