Statement

Visual artist based in Madrid. My practice is built from the poetic quality of the image, understood as a means of accessing new realities.
Through painting, I investigate the relationship between landscape, memory, and contemporary perception.
Formally, I explore line, repetition, and the fragmentation of the landscape in motion.
The canvas is conceived as a body in which layers, frames, and reverse sides generate new landscapes.

The work engages with the literary influence of A la pintura by Rafael Alberti and The Saving of Beauty by Byung-Chul Han.
From this poetic perspective, the work addresses the line as a device that organises territory, experience and contemporary perception, generating a linear and repetitive organisation of the landscape, akin to a visual scrolling.
Formally, it functions as a connecting thread, articulating metaphors of scars and transitions that shape fragmented landscapes, associated with the movement of the vehicle.
The canvas is treated as a body, full of marks and layers, where it is its own limitation that takes on identity.
The reverse side gains prominence as an underlying structure: the skeleton that generates boundaries, windows through which to perceive organic forms.
